Mr. Waters' Classes
Math-
Overview: This week we will continue multiplying with decimals.  Adding and Subtracting decimals will be reviewed along with place value each day.  Please make sure that you child has 1 dry erase marker to use during math and also I have suggested if they have an old t-shirt or sock (to use as an eraser), please send that with them as soon as possible!

Be on the lookout for a weekly review that I have been developing. This is not considered homework as we do work on it together in class, but if you would like to see it your student should have it in their folder.  This is a graded assignment worth 10 points (5 bonus points if turned in early), and can really help your child's grade for the 9 weeks.  Please make sure that these are getting done and turned in.  I will be contacting you parents if more than 1 is missing for your child.

Homework: We will have daily practice problems, and they will all be due on Friday.

Science- We are finishing up our specific study of the Scientific Method this week.  We are beginning our study on Life Science, more specifically cells (plants and animals).  This unit will be very vocabulary intensive and we will be doing a lot of work in our interactive notebooks.  Please make sure that your child has a notebook as soon as possible as almost every day we are adding new information and it can become too much to keep up with if there is nowhere to put what we are doing in class.  We will be doing a lot of hands on activities and utilizing technology throughout our studies.  Please discuss with you child about speaking to a group as they will have multiple opportunities to talk and present to their classmates.

Mr. Wooden's Classes
