Math - This week we will focus on understanding coordinate plane, classifying two-dimensional figures and their properties (polygons, quadrilaterals, polygons, trapezoids, and hexagons), and ordering shapes in a hierarchy.  We will also be in review mode for the upcoming GMAS.

Mr. Waters' Classes
Math- We are in the middle of the metric system and customary measurement system for math.  Please look for homework next week working with converting between units.  There are a few new additions to our class Symbaloo page that are available for you to look at and use.  We will be wrapping up this unit in the next week so be prepared for a test.  Students have already received a study guide (Yellow papers, stapled together), that we have been working on in class, so ask them about it if you have yet to see it.
Failing grades can be done over for partial credit.

Science- We have just started our unit on Earth science.  This is a very vocabulary heavy unit (26 words/terms).  We will be working on this in class each day and all students will receive a vocabulary list with definitions for them to use to study with.  Please make sure to review as much as possible as we go through this unit. Students will have more homework over the course of this unit so please be on the lookout!  There are a lot of new additions to our Symbaloo page and videos that you can view to help you understand better what we are doing in this unit.   Your child should know how to log into this.
